Thank you for visiting our website.

All of us here at St. Alban's would like to extend a warm welcome to you.

As a local parish church, we try to cater for every age and experience range. We have Sunday School (we call it 10:30 Club) that meets on a Sunday morning during the main service. A group called Pathfinders is run for the older children and youth. Homegroups meet weekly where people can ask difficult questions and discuss how better to follow Jesus.

Our services are recognisably Anglican, but we have a range of styles and frequently have different features in them. Our music group is a great asset in helping us to worship. The main service is at 10:30 every Sunday morning (refreshments served afterwards) and we have a monthly service for healing and wholeness in the evening of the second Sunday of the month. Or if you prefer you can come to the 8am service on a Sunday which is from the Book of Common Prayer.

In the year 2000 we completed the building phase of our Building for Mission project, which extended the building, re-arranged the inside and brought more light into the church (as well as toilets, kitchen and meeting rooms). It is more of a statement of intent than a project as we aim to bring the message of God's love and hope to those around us and introduce them to a relationship with God through Jesus. This is our on-going reason for being here.

We run Alpha courses and this has really helped people to come to understand about the Christian But don't feel you have to wait until the next one starts to find out more. Contact us here. We have also run Fun days locally that are very different from what you might expect to find a church doing. In this way we are adapting our activities to better reflect our mission.

There are many reasons why people come to us. Perhaps you are new to the area and are looking for a church. It might be because you want to get married or have your children baptised. You may want to find out more about the Christian faith and who Jesus is. You may just be thinking about things and don't want to commit yourself yet. That's fine too. Whatever the reason, you can be assured of a warm welcome. We look forward to meeting you.
